With the launch of the new Philsquare website, you may still be looking for information on our workshops or our Webtinis. We're excited to announce a new home for our diy web services: Philsquare's Website Workbench. This website will be home to Philsquare's workshops (dates and reservations), consulting services, Webtinis, and web tutorials for both WordPress and PyroCMS.
The Philsquare team is never satisfied. We want every website we complete to be more efficient, more beautiful and better developed than the last. And that includes our own website.
Our website serves two main purposes: One, to demonstrate our skills as a web design and development firm (would you really hire a company to do your website if its own website looks anything short of amazing?); and two, to convince potential customers to hire our team. Our website must show the quality of work (seen in our portfolio) and the care and passion we put into every project.
WordPress themes can be deceiving when you’re trying to pick the perfect one for your site. Developers have great content, great images and know what it takes to make the theme they developed look awesome. But that doesn’t make these themes right for what you need. Here are five things to keep in mind when picking your theme.
We appreciate our clients, friends and fans. And we can't thank you enough for referring Philsquare to the people that trust you. Our new referral program rewards you for sharing and promoting our company to people and clients in need of our services.
Been here before? If so, you’ve probably noticed quite a few changes. We’ve added some color, switched up the blog, put a bit of glam on the portfolio page and a whole lot more: basically, it’s like a home makeover with less dust and fewer tears (almost). Between client projects and our new site, we’ve got a lot of great things to show you.
Here on the Philsquare blog, you can read about some of our completed projects. You can also head over to our portfolio and see the mobile and widescreen views of sites we've built. The about page features fun new avatars for our team, a list of the clients we've been honored to complete projects for and some of their kind words about our work.
Fun news loyal blog readers! On Saturday, November 5, the team at Philsquare will be celebrating the company’s first birthday! We’ve been fortunate in the past year to work with some really great local community services and businesses: Van Go Mobile Arts, Lawrence Public Library, Lawrence GiveBack, and several departments and groups at The University of Kansas. We’re passionate about solid development and beautiful websites that fit our customers’ needs. To celebrate our birthday we are offering a couple of our services FREE.
At 1pm and 3:30pm we will be offering the “WordPress Basics” workshop FOR FREE! This has been our most popular workshop in the past year, and we want to share it with more people in Lawrence. In this two-hour workshop, learn about the advantages of using WordPress (.com versus .org); and learn how to maintain your WordPress site. Also, for every person who attends the workshop, Philsquare will donate $5 to Van Go Mobile Arts. Read more for details.
